I started up my Ex the other day to let it warm up a few minutes before I left for the morning. Heat on, everything normal. When I came back to it maybe 5 minutes later, blower wasn't doing it's job.
I've checked all the usual culprits: Replaced the 30amp fuse in dash box, the 50amp relay (looks like a big huge fuse) in the engine bay, tried a new resistor and tested the blower itself directly on a battery and it's fine. I ran a voltmeter on the blower's power plug (forgot the term, sorry it's late) and instead of getting 12v, I'm getting like .3v or so. That can't be right. I know the system bypasses the resistor if you put it up to full blast, but I'm getting pretty much the same reading either way. Checked at the relay, and I'm getting 12v there. I could've sworn I was getting 12v at that blower plug yesterday, but I could be wrong.
I'm getting power to the internal dash switch, but I can't tell if it's coming back out. I tried a jumper on that harness from hot to orange / black (I think that's full blast) but got squat. I didn't check the voltmeter on that, but the blower still didn't come on. And I couldn't remember how to check for continuity on the switch using my multimeter. Like I said, it's late and it's been a very long day.
So I'm stumped. Any suggestions on this? I hate being cold. I hate not being able to see out the windshield even more.
