Heater clicking; no heat 2005

It began simple enough with a clicking sound coming from the A/C. First the actuator controlling the vent settings quit, leaving defrost as the only setting that worked. Then the clicking got louder and now the heater quit.
I've removed the center console, the instrument panel below the radio and the glovebox. I hear the clicking from deeper inside but cant seam to find where to get at it.
From behind the glovebox to the left I can see the actuator for the blend door and from front I can manually push the blend door open but I hear the clicking from WAY behind all that.
Any help on this fix with photos as well would be great. We have a 3 month old baby and no heat in the colder months coming will not be good.
