Heater Problems

I have a 97 Sport (4.0 SOHC). About a week or so ago I noticed that I cannot adjust the temperature setting on the interior heater....(it always blows hot air not matter how you turn the temperature dial), unless I kick the A/C in. Does anyone have any thoughts as to what the problem may be?? I have already checked fuses, etc.

Do you have the "automatic" climate control unit? If so, I had to have mine serviced because it was always stuck on cold air. Turns out the vacuum actuated valve for the selector door was bad.
