Really weird problem and I'm just posting to see if anyone had this same thing. Sometimes it will work perfectly....but then sometimes it won't work but if I hit a big enough pot hole or railroad tracks hard enough it kicks in...

Would this be caused by a loose connection on the control panel or is it something else that is common in these trucks?

are you saying the fan does not blow or does the heat actually shut off. Two different things. I think you mean the fan does not blow. Usually caused by the blower switch, try replacing it

How hard is it to replace and what would it normally cost?

the switch I believe can only be bought at Ford $$$$$
And you have to remove dash panel to get at switch
I think my daughter spent $100 on getting it done at dealer

ok...well I'll have a look....

does anyone happen to have a PN for it or is it actually called a blower switch?
