I've got the check engine light on and the both codes are hego faults (Bank 1 + 2 lean),what suprised me while looking under the car is i've only got sensors fitted before each cat even though the parts catalogue lists sensors before and after the cat.is this unusual or is it just the catalogue wrong?

Look a little further back. You may find two sensors screwed into the pipe from the top. They will be difficult to see unless you actually slide further back to find them. Trace out the wiring harness. That will lead you right to them.

I've looked after the cats and theres no sensors fitted anywhere,i guess mine just has the 2 upstream ones fitted.

not all trucks are built "alike".... especially non northam vehicles...:-) of course, just opinion but maybe some jurisdictions figured that the after one doesn't actually do anything useful so they figured they didn't need it.

Your UK truck likely has different emmissions on it but lean codes are too much air or not enough gas. 99.99% of time not bad oxygen sensors. So far the only true O2 codes I've come across are failed heater and slow signal response. All the others are your O2's working properly to detect a problem somewhere else.

Get your codes numbers and use the power of the search.

I think you right in saying the Uk emission laws are different hence why mines only got the 2,theres blanking plugs where the pre-cat sensors are shown in Goneukes pic,i'll search my codes which are P0171,P0174 + P1131.

Yes without a doubt the 02 sensors are fine and the engine is sucking air from intake gaskets or a crankcase ventilation elbow turned to goo and leaking.

Interesting,i've changed the upper and lower manifold gaskets about 3 months ago but i'm not sure about the crankcase elbow:thumbsup:
