New to forum but though I'd drop a quick note on the Helix Power Tower from Performance Products

After bolting it on this weekend, I can honestly say that I felt a difference: throttle response is improved, perhaps a little bit more horsepower/torque, especially down low

If you are looking for a fairly easy to install & cheap ($100) bolt-on, you might give it a try.

Other mods that have also helped:
Freer flowing exhaust
Granatelli Motorsports MAF sensor
K&N filter in stock airbox

Just thought I'd put in a quick testimonial

Where did you find that tower? I have been looking for one for my '94. I have heard that they work great!

Performance Products now has them for sale in their catalog. Not sure if it's on their website yet or not.

Cost $99.95 & well worth it

Word of advice during installation:
After you remove the air inlet tube from the throttle body itself, also remove the other end from the Mass Airflow Sensor. You'll have alot more room for working (you then remove the throttle body & place the spacer on & rebolt on the body) & will save yourself time & scraped knuckles.

All in all, budget about 30" for the job.

You can call Perf Products at 1-800-752-6111 for the info

Good luck

There are members in other threads who have said the tower is a big waste of money. I wouldn't bother with this mod. Do a search using Helix power tower theres' plenty of info. Really, If all you had to do was spin the air going into the cylinder in this fashion you'd see it in racecars and other performance sectors. The other problem is the 'spinning' air runs into so much interference on it's way to the cylinder there's no way is could still be spinning by then. If it was going to work at all I might work on a carbed engine but not on a EFI.

is there in echo in here

you will notice increased throttel responce because of the spacing.

With this logic wouldn't two work better? If more power could be attained by adding $10 spacers Ford would have done it years ago. If these spacers work at all it's only on carbureted intakes. A spacer on a carbed intake is AFTER the carb and before the intake manifold. This extra space could allow for better mixing of air and fuel. But on a fuel injected car the spacer is BEFORE the fuel. So there's no way it can help with the mixing. The fuel injector is last, spraying right into the cylinder.

Snake oil.... many reliable testers have show this devise to be worthless on an injected motoe.
