New guy here with 94 ford explorer xlt 4x4. So far it has K&N dropin air filter, swiss cheese airbox mod, turn down after cat and 31" BFG all terrains. It's got 183k on it. I bought it for $1300 from a friend. everything works on it except a/c. It got a reconditioned trans with 90k on it 3k ago.

Welcome! Congrats on the Ex!

Sounds sweet, g'day and welcome! Through on some pics maybe?

How to post pics?

I just got the BFG at 31s yesterday but kinda wish I had gotten 33s. After all the reading I did on here I was expecting to have to do some trimming to be able to run the 31a with no lift but that was not the case. No lift no rubbing.
I think the next step is a lift but as inexpensive as possible. SOA in rear but what are my options in front. Front axle seems fairly stout but looks extremely heavy. I'd like to see what my solid front axle options are.
This is my first 4x4 truck. I'm a devout AWD DSM fan and have been wrenchin on and racing my 96 Eagle Talon tsi awd for the past 11 years. It is heavily modified with front, center and rear LSDs. @24 psi it's hitting 472 hp at the flywheel and running mid 11s in the 1/4. It should be able to go faster than that but I've only personally driven it down the track 5 times. With more experience I should do better. I am the weakest link. The car is more setup for roadracing and spirited street driving than straight 1/4 mile top speed
I bought the exploder as a daily driver so am prepared to mod it so far

Welcome!
