Just signed up after lurking for a while. Looks like a pretty informative community
I own a 2002 Explorer XLT 4.0 4x4. Right around 190,000 on it but the thing looks and runs really well still. Not bad for living in the middle of the rust belt. I have had to replace the transmission a couple of years back. But other than that just your basic routine maintenance items. Still have the OEM shocks and springs on it LOL. Pretty much bone stock all around.
That being said. It's defiantly getting to the point of some TLC. I'm a do it yourself kind of guy so I'm really here not only to learn more DIY tips for general maintenance but maybe some decent upgrades as well.
