My name is Dave, and I recently acquired a 98 Mountaineer 5.0 AWD with tranny problems. I only paid $300 for it. The symptoms were when they were goin down the road it would just go to neutral.
Here is a pic of it.
I plan to drop the tranny and attempt a self rebuild. That is why I joined this forum. From what I see there is a lot of knowledge here, and I can use all the help I can get because I do have a black cloud that lingers over me. LOL
I did just recently rebuild a northstar engine for my son in his 98 Deville that he bought as his first car. That was a block up rebuild and it runs great, he is extremely happy.
