2002 Mazda B4000 4WD
Just joined the B-Series Forum. I have a 2002 B4000 4WD that I purchased in November of 2004 and has been an excellent vehicle, in my experience. It has about 125,000 miles.....don't drive it often as you can see. I have been told I need new sway bar links and bushings by a local repair shop. Have been doing some searching on the net and seems like its a job I can do much cheaper than the shop price but I have no experience in this area of repairs. Was wondering if anyone has a web link to show me how to properly replace them, maybe a brand of links and bushings to buy, etc. Any info here would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you all.

Replacing sway bar links and bushings isn't hard. The important thing to remember is to have two jack stands on hand to lift the truck off the ground. As for bushings, I'd go with a polyurethane bushing, as the original rubber ones don't hold up as well. Also remember to either rent or buy a torque wrench; when you drive, the sway bar is subjected to a "twisting" action, which will break after a time if not properly torqued down when you replace them.
