Hello to all you Explorers out there....
Can anyone shed some light on a problem I am having with my recently acquired '97 explorer...
The Parking brake light on the instrument cluster is refusing to go out and appears to be messing with the daytime running lights (ie they're not working). If I flick the headlights to high beam then the parking brake light will go out, but i do not get the high beam lamp on the instument panel.....
I've checked all the obvious stuff like fuses, brake fluid level etc.

Any ideas?

The parking brake light is on constantly whether the parking brake is engaged or not. The only thing that will get the light to go out, is when high beams are turned on. The parking brake is dis-engaging correctly and the switch on the pedal appears to be ok. I'm thinking DLR module?? or DLR resistor?? Where to buy and how much??
