Just bought myself a 2002 Explorer XLT 4x4. I LOVE IT. Was always a Chevy/GM kinda gal, but found this Explorer, and just plain fell in love. I found this site while looking up info on the Explorer. For a girl, I have become quite the gearhead, and like to learn as much as I can. My phylosophy has always been "if you don't know how to fix it, you shouldn't be driving it" My love of anything with a motor has gotten me out of many a "rip off." Most repair shops don't take woman seriously.
Well, I sure will be looking around and checking out the entire Forum. Drop me a line, I'd love to talk.

Great philosophy on repairs and ownership! It's sad how many people (male and female) would be sunk if it weren't for Jiffy Lube and AAA.

I've been a Ford guy my entire life but I have to say they are dissapointing me as of late. That just means I'll have to keep my 2000 running sweet.

Welcome to this forum! Another lady which recently joined this site rebuilt her transmission with the information from this site. Glacier991 loaned her tools to make the job easier. It was her first experience doing this kind of work. She then tackled other issues like brakes, and other things after she got it running again.
