I'm new to the forum but not new to owning Explorers.
My first X was a brand new 1997 Eddie Bauer with the awesome 5.0L V8. I traded in my 1994 Ranger for it. I had it for a few years then traded up to a 2000 Expedition.
Well, I recently had twins and we needed a second vehicle so I picked up a 2002 Eddie Bauer with the 4.6L V8 with 93,000 miles. I got it for $4990 and everything works great.
I wanted to make sure it is running in tip top shape so I want to change the plugs and plug wires, change the oil and the air/oil/fuel filter.
Should I also change the PCV valve? I can't seem to locate it. I'll pick up a Chilton book too.
Is the fuel filter difficult to replace?
I've looked around the forum and I don't see a "general maintenance" thread. Thanks for the help!
