I just rebuilt my 5r55s. Looks like it was a recent rebuild. Because the case was sleeved and it had good plates and bands with new style oil pressure relief valve . The intermediate solenoid shaft was broken, I replaced it. Reassembled trans' and put it back in Explorer. It still slips bad in "D" and "R" but will go in 1,2 and 3. Is it solenoid pack?

Did you do a hydraulic pressure check?

No, that is next. I'LL need to get the gauge and back up on the stands. I have the a t s g book not sure how to switch the a b port also could you help? Intrigued by the solenoid body gasket fix ; I suppose the pressure test will reveal the gasket. O.D. and Int. Solenoid bores have been sleeved.

Yes DTC's flashing od light. My reader just gives p1700 trans malfunction. I'm going to buy MS CAN enabled reader. And pressure gauge this week.
