I have a 2005 Sport Trac XLT Flex Fuel that is in excellent condition, Got her with 97k and now is just over 101k. Upgraded the audio (sub cabinet, all new speakers and head unit, installed all new rotors, brakes and shocks. Now, she's spitting out a P0442 error intermittently since the new shock install. Yes, I replaced the gas cap. I understand the fuel feed tube to the tank might have a slight crack, but I smell absolutely nothing in the way of fuel. Anyone have problems with the Vapor flex fuels system below the bed?
Also, the factory rims are not happy. They have corroded and the clear coat is pealing off in chunks. Should I strip / blast and re-clear coat or paint?
Thanks!!!
I'd throw a pic up but for some reason I can't!
