hey a fellow Ontarian , welcome to the site,
there are a few things you can do to make your truck sit just a bit higher to make the tires work for you ,,
you can get replacement shckles for the back that go on the end of the springs by the bumper,
and you can twist the adjusting bolts on the torsion bars tighter to make the front the same as the back ,
there is a search option on the bar at the top of the page,, if you are gonna do work to your truck , it can be your best resource,,

Welcome to Explorer Forum! I wouldn't think you would have any trouble out of that size at all.

285/75/16's are 33's. He's gonna need to do a bit of work to stick those puppies under his 2nd Gen.

Welcome the forum. As was mentioned earlier, the search function will be one of your best friends in the near future.

hELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!

thank you all for the welcome in here. The problem is that I just put my new tires 285/75/16 and they are to big to turn so can someone tell me how to take the FENDER FLARES and the Running Boards because I need to take it today and it's 7:45 thank you very much:dunno:

Im not sure about the fender flares. The running boards, it depends on which ones you have. most of them are held on by 3 screws two in the front wheel well and 1 in the rear then from there you should be able to just yank them off. If you have the steps I think they're bolted to the frame. Just look for bolts holding them on, remove them and rip them off. Pretty straight forward. I have no expierence with the EB's so I can't help you with the fender flares. I think your best bet is to bust out the jig saw and cut whatever plastic they are rubbing on. or do the Shackles and TT

I just look at them and it has two screw in the front I mean the running boards really I don't know much about it I have a eddie bauer 2000 4x4 and with the fender flares I don't wanna made any damage because in a few days I'm lift it up and I want to put everything back on

it was too expensive the lift that you buy for your truck?

Hmmm... The shackles run at about 69.95 on desertrat.com and the Body Lift was 189.00 on suspensionconnection.com part number 883 for the 98-2000 ford ranger. if you use the search button up top you will find out all you need to know about that...and the TT was free lol. so no, not spendy at all.

For your truck, the lift is very, very cheap. You can raise the front by doing whats called a torsion twist. That is free. Shackles will raise the back. I made mine for about $20.

Check out this link and then follow the accomanying links. You will learn a lot.
