2003 Sport Trac XLT 4x4
Hello all, been a long time lurker, decided i'd finally join all the fun.
Tons of advice, awesome pics and just a general overall wealth of knowledge of the fun-trucks here!

I have a 2003 XLT with 70K, recently added a 4inch suspension lift (go figure on the product), fender flares, front safari bar with lights and K&N filter. Near future up-grades 3" body lift, cargo rack (any help there would be greatly appreciated) and tires. I love this truck, i'm the original owner, garage kept, an everyday driver and it does get dirty from time to time.

Anyway, always looking for advice and if i can be of any assistance to you please don't hesitate to ask.

Once i can, i'll throw up some pics.

Take care
J

Welcome to the forum:chug:

I'm curious about the suspension lift on your '03 Explorer. I wasn't aware that there is a true suspension lift available other than custom fabricated equipment.

I probably should have said I have a sport trac. The suspension lift is from Superlift (front and rear) with limiter straps. So far i'm happy with the lift, it actually drives like new at low speeds (up to 65), anything above that, it shakes through the wheel...i think its a balance issue since they only balance up to 55mph.

It's a good idea to update your profile with the words Sport Trac whenever you get a chance.

No worries...
Lets see if this works, a cell photo, sorry about the lack of quality.

You must have a really good cell phone to take a picture like that.

lol...blackberry tour (not endorsing it by any stretch!)

Anyway work in progress, I bought this new in 03' when I was stationed in MD. Originally I added a 2 inch bracket to the rear springs and a full TT not bad however some 60K later, I ended up replacing both front hubs.
A month ago I decided to purchase the superlift 4" susp kit. (front and rear kit). It gave me some height but not as much as i would have liked, especially where the torsion bolts are located. I'm pretty new to this, so all i wanted initially was an increase in ride height with the commensurate suspension instead of beating up the stock suspension and really tearing something up.
when time permits, I do some lite-trail riding, but thats the extent of my off-road endeavors with this truck.

Just a little history.

Nice looking Sport Trac:chug: The combo looks great!
