Hello forum, I am new to the Explorer forum, but not new to forums. I have been involved in a Saturn forum for over 10 years. I have found forums to be a great resource in making it feasible to keep an older vehicle on the road, without having to spend too much money.
I am new to Fords, having owned Saturns for the last 25 years. I am the original owner of an 01 Saturn coupe with 290,000 miles, it is currently going through an engine replacement, doing it myself, but I needed a daily driver while it’s down, so…
I recently bought a 2003 Explorer Sport XLT for a good price. It’s mechanically sound, but has some bugs to be worked out. I have replaced the cruise control buttons, thanks to seeing how simple it was on the forum. My next project is the rear lift gate, broken handle. I am looking forward to seeing what I can fix on my own.
