Just stubled accross the site while browsing for information about Mountaineers. I thought I would make a post and do a little reading.

We are currently in the process of turning a 2000 Mountaineer into a little offroad toy. Below is a little teaser photo.

Thanks for the compliments, It's a buddy of mine's we are building it at his shop. We were hoping to have it finished for the mud drags this saturday. But we fell a little short.

I am from lower Illinois (about 30 mins from downtown St Louis)

Here is a phone picture, The size of this thing is hard to judge in photos. I am 6'3 and the door mirror is over a foot above my head.

Wow! Def built for the mud pits, and not the climbing trails. Pretty amazing height out of it. Those springs must look like giant "U" off the truck...lol

We're talking about giving a try in the trails, but we have to see how well it articulates, It will need some different wheels and tires that aren't so wide.
