Hello from PA,Just bought a 01 Explorer Sport

Hey everyone I usually frequent forums pertaining to what I drive.I just traded my worn Dodge ram for an 01 Explorer sport.I am little confused by the 2nd,3rd gen difference.Mine looks like a 3rd gen.Any help there?Thanks and hello!

welcome to the board and if its a 2001 it should be a 3rd gen i don't believe there is a 4th gen sport

Sorry about the typo.Been a long day at the dealership.I meant 2nd and 3rd.Anyways I love it.Just have one issue.As I let it idle in gear I hear an on again off again,Wizz,Rattle type noise.Common thing?Sounds a little hard to describe.Im thinking heat shield of some sorts.Anyways Im gonna start navigating and looking for Tech/Sticky threads.
