Hey guys and gals,
My names Andy. After reading countless posts of helpful info, i decided to join.
I have owned numerous fords over my 32 years, as well as attending school to become a factory certified ford diesel/ heavy line tech, but this is my first "explorer". Last weekend i picked up a 97 mountaineer v8 awd. It has quite a bit of miles on it "241k" but the interior, and other features not to mention the checp price on it couldnt be passed up, even though the transmission has no foreward gears, but ive tackled worst. This past friday, i decided to replace the tires as they were completely wasted. I ended up getting some black procomp 15 inch wheels and putting some 31 inch x 10.5 bfg at ko2s on it. Im very excited to get to drive it around and play in the dirt. Im part way through the transmission replacement as we speak.
