Just put down a depositon a 2002 Explorer. Has 114,000 miles on it. Am I making a big mistake or will these run pretty well into a few more miles range. What is my most likely source of concern for future problems? It had it's trans replace @ 60,000. Are these weak links. It has a class 2 trailer hitch.

Asking price is 5000.00 and I want to get reassured or not as I can still get away.

Welcome to this forum! Since the transmission was replaced @ 60K miles, how many miles does it have since it was replaced? The 5R55W has a couple of common issues with the solenoid blocks, and the servo bores. Always replace the fluid @ 30K miles regardless of what Ford tells you (100K).
