Hello all it is nice to have found a website all about explorers.
I have a problem and hope someone out there can help me. I purchased a SONY CDX-GT330 stero for my 2004 4x4 explorer. I could not find a wiring connector fot the stero, so I decided to hook it up myself by splicing into the wires from my factory wiring harness. So I got out the Haynes manual and looked up the wiring diagram for the radio and cut the wires for the new radio from the harness and spliced the together after all the wires i needed were hooked up I turned the key to the acc position and the radio works great. I then started the truck and found that the gas peadal has no function what so ever. with a little investigation I think the problem is the wire that is connected to the pcm, it is behind the radio and connected to nothing. Is there a way to bypass this so that I can drive my truck? If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate the advise.
Thanks
Brandon
