hello every one, I need your help. I own a 01 sport trac with 136k miles, the truck is running fine with no codes but this morning I touched the distribution box and was hot, the fuel pump, pcm, and windows relays were hot too, Is that normal? there were not blown fuses in there

so the truck was off the whole night, you woke up in the morning, opened the hood, touched the dist caP an it was hot?

no, I was driving the truck, when I came back from autozone I openned the hood to replace the air filter thats when I noticed that the dist box was hot and 3 relays, Is that normal?

i would exect those things to get warm, but if they feel mlike melting hot magma i would think that something is wrong. im going to take my truck for a drive and when i get home im going to check to see how hot mine get.

well i took the truck for a spin and i checked on mine and they were warm as id expect them to be, but they werent super hot or anything. to be honest, i ve never heard of something like this, try getting in touch with a forum member named ncranchero. this guy knows everything about tracs.

If they're all hot to the touch, you might want to check the connections between the battery and your distribution box. A loose connection can generate heat in any electrical component.

I was checking my truck again and one ground wires going from the engine to the firewall was loose, I hope that fix my problem
