2003 Ranger
I just adopted my son's 2003 Ford Ranger that sat in yard for a year after he got tired of driving it. Of course, it needs T.L.C. From battery, starter, tires to a tie rod end, IMRC actuator and who knows what else. Haven't depended on a truck since early 1990's and never an American truck. It's a ride. We're doing the tie rod end today. Anything special I should know besides locate my pickle fork? Thanks guys.

Ya- keep your computer handy... ;)

Welcome to this forum! You might need to get an alignment. The pickle fork tools squeeze grease out of the boots, so they are not recommended if you plan on reusing the tie rod end. There is a special tool for pressing on the threaded rod to pop it out of the spindle which is a much more efficient design.
