Just saying hello!
Been on here quite a while, but only really stop by when I'm looking for something specific for my explorer!
Got a '91 ED Sportrac 4wd 5spd manual for 200$ with 192k on it, in December 2005 as a winter unit. The transmission was shot, someone forgot to install a pilot bearing in the flywheel when the clutch was replaced several thousand miles before I got the truck, and it destroyed the head gear in the transmission
So we slapped a rebuilt transmission in it, some other little parts (4wd shifter motor (we were disassembling mine and the casing was cracked and worthless). I just got done messing with it this evening. Both rear latches froze up from rust and needed to be soaked in PB blaster. I'm still having issues with the drivers door lock, it doesn't function anymore. The alternator screams until the engine gets warmed up (obviously the bearings are going bad) and I think it needs a new filler hose for the gas tank. Other than that, with almost 200k on her, she runs great
