I had a little trannie problem and the local shop wanted to rebuild my trannie. It turned out to be a simple little problem and easy to fix.

Much $$$ saved thanks to this site confirming what I thought.

Shops always want to rebuild the entire thing. Sometimes it's necessary, but I think the majority of times it's not.

I know, and this is the first auto trannie we have owned since 1977. Not being that familiar with them I wanted to confirm what I thought and was able to on this site.

One question, On the hatch it does say Explorer and on a gold colored plate in smaller letters expedition. Is there such an animal?

We haven't owned this vehicle long but we like it a lot.

The Explorer, and Expedition are 2 different vehicles.

Yes I know, that is why I asked the question. My daughter owns an Expedition, but that is what the name plate on the hatch says. I think it is a Limited from everything I know about it.
