hi my name is tom i am a new owner of a 97 explorer xlt.. just got one question i can't seem to find.. my O/D off light is flashing.. can anyone tell me what this means.. the tranny fluid seemed ok.. its shifting kinda hard.. its a new tranny so did they do something wrong?? thanks for any info guys.. have a good day..

Welcome to this forum! A flashing overdrive light means that the computer has a transmission fault code stored. Don't drive like this (hard shifting). The system is going into limp (FMEM) mode with increased pressure which is controlled by the EPC solenoid. You said that it's a new transmission. Have the shop which installed it scan your computer to retrieve the code.
