Roof Rack anchors

Hello Everyone need help in exposing roof rack anchors. Do those covers on the ends and the middle just snapped off or what, cause I tried too remove and were rather tight on there and didnt want to force too much and break it.
I am trying to get to the anchors that are holding down the roof rack in order to tighten them.Seems that they have gotten loose and want to see how I can tighten them. Can anyone help?
