- 1992 Explorer XLT 4Dr 4x4
Ok guys, i need some help here. I have a 92 Explorer XLT. For awhile now my ignition lock cylinder has been getting more play in it than it should. I know this is a problem with fords, my old f-150 had the same problem. Anyways I was trying to ignore the problem, said i would fix it later. Well last weekend my key broke off inside and i can't get it out so i have no choice bu to replace the cylinder. The Hayes manual says their is supposed to be a pinhole under the steering column that will release the cylinder. Well I don't have a hole under there so i'm stuck now.
How do u get this thing out?
