Hey Folks,

Have to tear into buddy's Ranger to do heater core........cold weather coming soon. I'm told it's a real bear, dash has to be pulled (or partially). Anyone that can lend some advice here, please do......or direct me to where I can find instructions.
I had no trouble finding info on other friend's 87 Ranger.........but 97 seems harder to come by (no manual in the local library either).

All help much appreciated

As seems to be the usual case here someone posts a question and no one answers. I don't have info for you on your 97, but if it is anything like my 88 (I recently changed the heater core) it is very simple. a cover on the bottom of the heater with 5 screws and the core is exposed. Remove the hose clamps and remove and replace the core. There are a couple of rubber blocks that hold it in place, simple...it took all of 30 minutes on the 88.
