I am trying to figure out the height to install coil buckets at and have not yet decided what springs to go with for sure. What I need is the installed height of a 4" lift spring so I can calculate how high to mount the coil buckets. So if anyone is willing to brave the cold with a tape measure please let me know how tall the spring is when the Explorer is sitting on its own weight.

Thanks in advance.

15" compressed height is the ideal for 4" lift, though you shouldn't run into any issues aligning the frontend if the coils sit between 14.5-15.5".

Is this for a SAS?

This is for a modified D44 ttb on a 99 Explorer, so everything is a little different.

I am considering the BDS 4" coils the broncograveyard has. They are listed as 410 ppi and 18" free height. It sounds like they will work well
