I have an Audiophile CD-6 for my X-Sport 2001. My X came with the duel media.

Is there a way to bypass the crossovers/EQ within the unit ?

Thanks,
J

Sorry, but there is no way to do this in the field. Even the Ford Service Centers do not have the software to revise the radio output parameters.

Your alternatives are to try to exchange the unit for a "non-Mach" version, or add the subwoofer and upgraded speakers to convert your system to Mach (NOT a simple task).

Thanks for your help... although that's not the answer I was wanting...

What is the stock number for the Non-Mach version of the CD-6 ? Did it come in the Silver finish for the Sport dash ?

Thanks again,

J

There was a non-Mach version CDX6 available for the Sport for a limited time - part number YL2F-18C815-GD (with a silver bezel). Other than that, the remaining ones that should fit would be:

1C3F-18C815-AB (our most "generic" CDX6, which came in Ranger, F-250, Escape, and Econoline, at various times - this radio has a black bezel).

1S8F-18C815-AC for a Mercury Cougar (this is the same as the radio above with a wire adapter added to it - just remove the adapter, and it should work).

2L3T-18C815-AA for F-Series. This model was very limited production, and I believe had a silver face, but probably a DIFFERENT silver than yours.
