Help....defrost problem!!!

I have a 98 Explorer Sport that blows out hot air even when the temp is set to cold. The only time that it blows out cold air is when the A/C Max is engage. A/C normal even blows out hot air.

You have the blend door problem. The vane either gets stuck in hot or cold and wont move again because the plastic cracks where it attaches to the actuator motor. Heat is good - winter is coming! Do a search on blend door. I wrote a cheap temporary solution a week ago. Other than that save up $700.
