Help! Fuel injection type and a V8 Mod

PATS and a programmer

The car will not start unless the pats module is happy and it will talk with the pcm... and for this to happen the car needs to be reprogrammed to match to two together. It seems rather difficult after all this to tow the car to a dealer to get the two to date :)... So I have heard some where that you could use a "SCT" programmer to remove "pats" from the pcm. Has anyone heard of this... could this work and if so what model and how could I go about it quickly?

also... It seems that I have a transmission sensor issue that "410fortune" thankfully brought up (that would have been a terrible thing to find out later on -thanks man) so can I get this off another x model car at a junkyard or is it only at the dealer?

ok last question (sorry about all this) my car is longer then that of your typical explorer... with the transfer case my axle is obviously to long and the donor cars is too short... I was planning on having one made but in the interest of time dose anyone know if an axle from another ford would be an appropriate replacement.

Thankyou guys for all your advise you have been most helpful... I am this close but yet so far away... I will post pic's soon but on the regular non-emergency forum.

Go to the tuning section and get in touch with James. He should be able to help you with your PATS issues with an SCT tuner...and get you some extra performance at the same time. I also believe he is close to you. Alternatively, there are a couple of outstanding tuners in Florida.

The Trans sensor is the big one that goes around the shift shaft. You just need one for a 98-01 4R70W. For all I know, the one on your 01 will work. I couldn't look it up to see for you. But that is more than likely wishful thinking.

I know of no other driveline that will fit. Maybe someone else does. But you should be able to take your long one and have it shortened and balanced for a reasonable fee.
