No Power, No lights, ZIP ZILCH ZERO!! HELP!!!

Tonight when getting into my 93 Explorer, (4.3l) XLT, I went to start it and I released the key too quick, sort of like a "bump start" with a quick key turn. Anyway all power (no headlights, interiors, NOTHING!) has now been cut off to my vehicle. :fire: :fire: :fire: !!

I am in desparate mode now as I am not even able to open the hood release, cause since I took apart my dashboard the lever is all screwed up!

So I need two questions answered. What do any of you think it could be, and how can I get back under my hood.

THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!

Robert Nicholson

Sounds like a fuse! In my 98 one fuse holder is accessible with the drivers door open, above the parking brake. If that doesn't work, I'd have to recommend taking the dash out again and figuring out how you messed up the hood opening cable :) You'll probably have to do that sooner or later anyway.

Fixed!

It was the battery cable. The positive connection had completley corroded away from the terminal.

Gotta keep a better eye on that  :D

Thanks Guys,
Rob
