My name is Shorty, I have a 95 Ford Ranger 4.0 4x4 it starts fine in the morning. If I turn it off, it won't restart right away. If I let it sit for 30 mins. to an hour, it will start again. What could be causing it to do this?

...Battery, cables, or starter would be my guess...

...You can take the battery and starter out and have them tested for free...

when you say wont start right away.... does that mean wont roll over when you turn the key or just keeps rollin over. my neighbors 95 x with the 4.0 did the same thing for a while if all it want to do is keep rollin over. i turned out to be the crankshaft position sensor. it just took a lil bit for it to completly die. and on the other hand it could also be with the fuel. same x as i just talked about just cranked and cranked then started then wouldnt. it was some relay under the hood that wasent strong enuf for a current or sumthing until it cooled. idk i will ask him the whole story and post back if you want.

welcome
