Alright, so I was driving down the Xpressway this afternoon in my new 92' X, I got about 15-20 miles, and the X started running sluggish. It ran this way about another 5 miles, when I started to notice smoke. I pulled into the reststop, as I can to a stop, I heard a "psstt" sound, kinda like when you open a 20 once soda. Then it started smoking bad from the exhaust. I looked under the hood, and all I could find is,that a spark plug boot looked off. I then realized that the spark plug wire end was on the spark plug, and the wire was in my hand. I need to here you think could be wrong, I'm leaning towards the Head gasket, but I'm not sure. Where should I start?
Should I just throw my other engine in temperarily, or should I tear into this one. Both motors leak oil, So I'm going to need to replace most or all gaskets anyways. Guys, I'm having a dilema! I really could use your Help!

Brad

Were any of the gauges reading abnormally?

That wire probably got too close to the exhaust and melted through.

well first thing is calm down

and look it over real good and look at everything that could go wrong see if there is an easy fix first if not then panic

i do agree with brad too

sorry ment to say alec

just remember everything can be fixed

Well did compression test, #2 cyl: zero! #5 cyl: stripped out spark plug hole. Tomorrow, running comp. test on other motor. replace some gaskets and seals, and swap them! Wish me luck! Hey! Mcguver ky, check your email. Thanks
