I'm planning the fitting of my new Mocal Aux transmission cooler this weekend so started to have a look at the pipework I need to chop into tonight.
Please can someone confirm my thinking and assumptions?
At the left hand end of the radiator there is a water to oil cooler, it has two metal pipes coming in top and bottom - is this the standard transmission oil cooler?
if I follow the metal pipes across the front of the engine, one goes back down the engine block and one goes to a cooler in front of the radiator. The other end of the cooler attatches to a metal pipe (via rubber hose) and follows the other pipe back down the engine block.
Am I right in thinking I already have an Aux transmission cooler?
is it a standard fittment on all explorers or UK only?
if it is an Aux transmission cooler, should I replace it or add my new one in series with it.?
Sorry for all the questions
cheers
Jim
