HI all

Long story short.

My only keyfob got wet and is cooked. tired new batteries etc its fried
I locked the x with the keyfob berfore this happened.
Anti theft is activated because I can't unlock it with the keyfob.
I have a new ford keyfob but can't get the reprogramming to work.
How do I get the anti theft turned off ?

I have tried all the meathods I know including, using the key on off meathod as described in the manual to program the new keyfob. It's supposed to lock unlock the x when done correctly. this does not happen.
I have already tried disconnecting the battery for about 10 minutes. no luck
I have keyless entry but it was damaged in my roll over so its not even connected.

Is there any other way to get that anti theft turned off? I'm a long expensive tow from any ford dealer.

Thanks in advance for your help. Colin

try unplugging the CSM located on the passenger side C Pillar behind the interior body panel?

If you unlock the vehicle from the inside dosent that turn the anti theft off?

Good news I was able to get the old remote to unlock it once so I'm no longer stranded but the programming is still not working.

Unfortunately once you have locked the x with either the remote or the door locks and then unlocked it with the key , the only way to disable seems to be with the keyfob. Unlocking it with the door switch does not disable it.

At least I can get it to a dealer to have the new keyfobs programmed if I can't get it to work.
