help me disengage my automatic 4wd please

one time i ran across a post on how to disengage the automatic four wheel drive on newer model explorers so that your in true 2wd all the time until you switch to 4wd. i've searched all over and cant find it so if you happen to have a link to the thread it would be much appreciated. thank you!

You can do a brown wire mod to get you 2WD.. Here's the link on how to. Just make sure you do it to the brown wire located under the driver seat or else you'll have to re-start your truck when you want 2WD or 4WD. Dead Link Removed
