help me fix this annoying noise

Everytime I start up my Ex there is a very loud "whining" noise coming from under the hood. It is very annoying but it goes away after driving it for about 20 seconds or less. Its not the IAC because it has been cleaned. Is it my fan or altenator, or something else. It really is annoying. I popped the hood and it sounds like its coming from the fan area but its so loud I cant really tell. It goes away but is very, very annoying. Someone help me fix this please!!!

sounds like it is you belt is either slippin or something.

might be a bearing in one of your pulleys too.

Does the sound go away when you hit the gas? I cleaned my IAC twice... Had to replace it to stop the noise. Is your belt showing any damage on the edges? Can you pinpoint the area where the noise is coming from?
