91 Ex sport, 250k miles, clutch mileage unknown but have owned since 150k.
Noticed this noise when sitting in neutral at a stop light the other day. Have been driving the truck for the last few days and have not noticed it again. Only heard it twice, both times sitting in neutral, and it went away for good
both times after pressing the clutch.
Clutch and trans acting normal otherwise. Trans fluid is at level and was changed recently, and I've always kept it changed every 20k.
Nothing out of ordinary visible through the inspection plug.
Time to pull the tranny out and have a look? Wasn't ready to do th clutch yet but th shifter bushings do need attention and I've never replaced the rail plugs.
