HELP ME OUT TONIGHT PLEASE!!! Radio install

well i just went out and bought a new radio it is the New El Kameleon made by JVC looks sharp, and will look better just as soon as i get it out of the box an in the truck! the problem is do i need a special removal tool to take the stock reciever out? im at this point and have all the dash in my lap, so i hope some one can give me a pretty quick response... thanks Later!

I used small screwdrivers when I got mine out. You can also use nails. The key is to push them all out at the same time to unlock the radio. There is a special tool you can buy. Although I didn't get one because just for removing the stock radio I didn't think it was worth it.

thanks for the tips ! i used the coat hanger method a little persistance and a few bad words then it slid right out. i got my new cd player in and it sounds awesome!!! guess its time for some new door speakers. maybe some Kappa's? who knows , whatever i get im sure it will sound better then the 9 year old ones i got in it now .( the stock ones) anyways thanks for your help.
