Help! My Explorer has been sucked of its powers.

The sounds up front shouldn't affect your loss in power. I just replaced the bushings on my shocks and the sounds are just about gone. If your truck was front wheel drive it would matter but its not...so rule that out. You stated that you only burnt rubber for a day or so....was your tank full of gas??? This would add some weight to the rear wheels where the power is meeting the ground. If you were on an incline, that would also put some of the weight on the rear. Just a few thoughts.

My tank was pretty full.. but Ive been through an entire tank sense then... and I was on level ground. I dont get it. The only thing diffrent is that I was burning rubber in bakersfield, and now I am back in Fullerton. And its cooler here than it was there. hmmmm... its a mystery

could be that it was a different type of pavement. I know there's a stretch here in town that's a particular type of cement, and I can light 'em up for about 100 feet on that stuff. however, when I hit blacktop or asphalt... no dice. food for thought...
