HELP My mpg just died

Can someone help me my mpg just went from 12-16 to 7 I had to put 4 gallons in for 28 miles of travel, I can drive concervitively or hard as I want and mpg never changes but it has now gone to 7 for no apparent reason. It has started making A LOT of funky smells, such as what smells like leaky coolant but there isnt any leaking, and un burned gas, and some other unidentifiable smell. Please help me! Also when I do any kind of off road driving the front end pops even when in two wheel drive. I have a friend with a two wheel drive f150 with a 6 inch lift and his does the same. Let me know. It sounds as if you may have a O2 sensore or the fuel presure regulator is going bad. I would suggest looking for computer cades to see if that narrows down a bit. At this point there could be many things that are causeing this and rather than spend lots of money on something that may not fix the prob, you may want to have the computer codes checked first.

Sounds to me like your fuel pressure regulator. I had a similar experience on a 91EB. Check out the fuel pressure before you start replacing anything. Check out other posts on it somebody found one on the net for less than $100. Good Luck!
