All:

I would like to have my engine idle rattle resolved from the dealership who is willing to provide the service at no cost.

Can someone fullfill me with more of the details in regards to recall 00M12, and the symtoms provided with the recall.

I have a low idle issue with an anoying rattle to boot!
Idle starts nicely at 900RPM's, then once the cooling fan kicks in, idle drops to ~500RPM with the anoying rattle.

It is deffinetly internal in the lower pass engine bay, and is only subject for when the fan kicks in and lower RPM's. Sound related to 00M12?

I saw an attachment in the archives sent to the dealers exclaiming the work to be provided for 00M12, but would like a softcopy of that sent to my inbox (if possible) to:
jasonllintner @ eaton .com (without spaces) please!

I need to resolve this issue...
Thanks!

Found this as well...

Labor Operation 00M12C was added to the 00M12 program on 12/19/2000. This Labor Operation is to be used for a vehicle with the "Check Engine" light on. For additional information, please see 00M12Supplement 1 at the Recall site on QCDealer.com.

Anyone seen this???

Regards,
Jason...

To be honest I think that this recall - this issue is really a problem with idle and choke when starting cold engine in cold weather.

When this happened to my X (1998 4.0 SOHC) engine would rattle when started cold and die constantly. I would have to keep it going for a few moments (keeping accelerator pedal slightly depressed) untill choke would kick in and take over. CE light was on as well. I took it to the dealer and just told them what the problem was and that I thought it was the recall. Service tech told me that they will run diagnostics and see what the problem was and if it was in fact the racall they would fix it free of charge... it was. 30 minutes later I drove away in completely cured truck.

Hope this helps.
