After I installed the superlift two inch springs, I had to turn the camber all the way in. I thought I had pinched the wires that ran to the calipers, but cannot find a mark, or tear anywhere. Problem is now the ABS light stays on. Any suggestions?

I think a common problem on the older X's is the sensor on the top of the pumpkin on your axle... I think its about a $20 part, but I'm not sure...

thanks.:)

that also tells you that you may need a brake job....if the pads are worn down too much the computer cant control the pump properly....that happend to me on my 94...the abs light started to come on after i hit the brakes...replaced the pads and the problem went away.

hope this helps

Thanks, but I replaced pads not to long ago. I wonder if I did something when lifting, It started right after I turned the camber in, trapping the wire in between the caliper and the part that tightens down the camber adjuster. Weird thing is that I looked today, and could not see where I might have damaged it. I will have to track it down this weekend:confused:

im not sure how tough they are (they should be considering their location) but you may have smacked it with a wrench or something causeing the internals of the sensor to go bad

they are the same thing basically as the crank pos. sensor right...a ifared hall-effect sensor? they are pretty sensitive to dirt and gunk....clean all of them to make sure its not that....then if you still have the light i would replace the sensor that you did the camber adjustment on..

good luck

Yeah, I think I broke that wire inside, it is really flimsy, suggesting a thin wire inside. Bad part is I adjusted both sides, probably have to replace both sides.:(
