So I installed new speakers in the front and they both worked great until last week. I soughtred them together and respughtered them so I know the connection is good. I also switched the speakers and had them tested by a professional to make sure they weren’t blown. but I don’t have any audio out of my left front. I replaced the head twice (jvc) and still haven’t found the problem. not sure if I need to mess with the amp. I know it’s not blown but any advice would be appreciated. 92 sport btw

Check for continuity of the wiring for the speaker from the head unit would be my first thought, it could be damaged, especially where it goes through the door.

where exactly does it run if I wanted to run speaker wire from the head through the door

Just follow the harness, it pretty straight forward from the front speakers, the back of the dash is open, so you can just run the wire straight from the head unit quite easily.

Before I go to the store, is there anything else you can think of?

also, does it matter if I have a factory amp?

Just for ***** and grins, are the fader and balance in the radio set correctly? Had this happen before.

yes. I double checked my connections too. I think it’s just a bad wire between the chassis and the door. No telling how many times the door has been opened and closed over the past 300k

Well, tie new speaker wire to your old speaker wires in the door and pull them thru the boot from the kick panel, then up to the radio...and your done. Hopefully there's no tape around the wire loom in the boot when pulling new wires, good luck.
