i have a 94 explorer that was a pain to start today the starter would go but the engine wouldnt turn and on the third try it started. and while i was driving i noticed that under acceleration the engine would stutter or skip so i drove it like a grandma went to schucks told me it was a 335 code and he had no idea what that was so when i made it back home and turned her off i tried to start he right back up and no problem tried that 3 times and on the third time i just let her run and after 1min the engine started to shutter and bog and then it died and i have not been able to start her again. after looking on here i replaced the egr sensor and that didnt change anything, i replaced the egr valve about 3 weeks ago and the air sensor about 2 months ago. and i have taken my negative cable off for 10 mins and still nothing, please help i need my rig running
thanks

Bulldoser, the code 335 indicates a bad PFE sensor, which you've already replaced. That shouldn't cause a no-start situation though.

I would first check to see if you're getting fire to the plugs. If you're getting a spark, then I'd suspect a faulty fuel pump. There's a good 'sticky' thread on checking fuel pressure.

If there's no spark, then I'd suspect a bad ICM (Ignition Control Module), assuming your 94 model still has one.

Bottom line is when there's no workable codes, check the spark and fuel.....
